Although the market is still dominated by men, increasingly in different areas of Construction and Building Management, women are conquering their space and gaining recognition. By nature, we have a discerning and sensitive eye for observing details. Intuition and creativity are characteristics that make us stand out when the subject is functionally and aesthetics.

  I don’t know if I chose Architecture or if she chose me, but since I was a child, I’ve been praised for my creativity, and I knew that my goal would be something linked to creation.

  I graduated in 2016, but I have worked in the área since 2012. I can feel that I made the right choice, nothing better than doing what we love, in addition to the critical role that architecture plays in society.

  Although there is still prejudice and specific pressure for being a male world, I have never felt cornered or belittle and believing in my ability. I always had a voice.

  My passion for architecture grew even more when I left a town in the interior of Brazil and came to live in London, a place that I had visited in the past, but I returned, with the architect`s eye, I found a new world in the field of Construction. The potential to create is endless. There is the freedom to create, dare and dream with modest projects, sophisticated and intriguing projects through the stunning architecture of London, which goes from medieval castles to High Tech buildings. Here you can see, live and feel all the architectural influences and styles of many decades and conquerors.

  I had the privilege of seeing the Construction industry in a broader sense, in a place where evolution is fast-paced, and spaces and environments change all the time: London knows how to build and rebuild itself, and it is what moves and drives this city. There is no pause here, no breaks. There are countless refurbishments, and new buildings spring up around every corner. You can live in London for the rest of your life and still not have to see everything: there will always be something new and inspiring. The mix of materials, colours and styles, all come together in one space. You can stand on one street looking at a beautiful building of 2021, and then you look around, and the next minute you turn around, you feel like you have been teleported to the 1600s.

  Architecture directly influences human welfare because it is present in the composition of the scenario in which we are inserted, providing the necessary conditions for harmonious development. London has the power to insert people as part of its work because there is a concern that spaces bring benefits to society. This is clear in the dedication to preserve, highlight and care for areas.

  Women have a significant impact and make a difference in the sector, increasingly occupying positions of great prominence and showing what we came for and are capable of. We are more careful and have a more dynamic way of communicating as well as dealing with adversities.

  We, professionals of the Construction industry, have the duty to execute projects responsibly, using sustainable resources and technologies to ensure a better quality of life for people and the environment. And designing, implementing, restructuring, providing comfort and accessibility to spaces is gratifying, in the certainty that each finished Construction will be a dream come true!
