   C\u0103ldura generat\u0103 de foc este extrem de periculoas\u0103, dar cel mai d\u0103un\u0103tor rezultat al focului pentru fiin\u021bele vii este de a face aerul irespirabil.    Pe baza materialelor combustibile, focurile pot fi separate \u00een clase:<\/span><\/p>\n

   Clasa A. <\/span><\/strong>Materiale carbonice, precum h\u00e2rtie, p\u00e2nz\u0103, lemn sau cauciuc. Aceast\u0103 clas\u0103 este denumit\u0103 de obicei \u201efoc cu combustibil solid\u201d.    Clasa D. <\/span><\/strong>Metalele combustibile precum magneziul, sodiul, fosforul \u0219i altele similare pot fi tratate numai de pompieri instrui\u021bi. Pentru aceste tipuri de incendii, pot fi utilizate sting\u0103toare chimice speciale \u0219i dac\u0103 se utilizeaz\u0103 un alt tip de sting\u0103toare, cum ar fi apa, poate provoca mai multe daune dec\u00e2t bine. Ca ultim\u0103 resurs\u0103, nisipul uscat sau p\u0103m\u00e2ntul pot fi utilizate pentru a netezi focul p\u00e2n\u0103 c\u00e2nd este disponibil un sting\u0103tor adecvat.<\/span><\/p>\n

   Clasa F. <\/span><\/strong>Uleiurile sau gr\u0103simile de g\u0103tit sunt mai cunoscute pentru capacitatea lor de autoaprindere \u0219i temperaturile ridicate. Sting\u0103toarele chimice umede, chimice uscate sau pe baz\u0103 de spum\u0103 sunt cele mai eficiente, dar suprafa\u021ba focului trebuie sigilat\u0103 imediat, deoarece focurile din clasa F se pot aprinde din nou.<\/span><\/p>\n

   Incendii electrice<\/span><\/strong> intr\u0103 de obicei \u00een categoria \u201ealte tipuri de foc\u201d.
